Cowley showcases Mechatronics program at Technology Showcase
Being selected through the application process, Cowley College had an
opportunity to showcase its Mechatronics program during the annual
Technology Showcase held at the State Capitol in Topeka on February
11.
The event, which is sponsored by K-ACTE (Kansas Associate Career & Technical
Education), began several years ago and started with four participants.
This year’s event had 24 participants.
The event provides an opportunity for the Kansas legislature to see new
and innovative programs and developments in technology across the state.
Representing the Mechatronics program from Cowley was Bruce Crouse, Department
Chair; Chris Cosby, Instructor; James Fitzer, a current student, and
Sandy Randel, Coordinator. Equipment manufacturers from Festo Inc. and
DEPCO, Pittsburg, Kansas, were also on hand for the event.
