HEALTH PROMOTIONS AND PREVENTION SPECIALIST/DORM MANAGER
Associate’s degree or equivalent in credit hours required; Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, public health, alcohol and drug prevention, or related field preferred.  Other requirements:  training in presenting alcohol, tobacco and drug prevention information; training in presenting wellness and sexual health information; experience working with student populations; experience in event planning and promotion; familiarity with college prevention services; possess outstanding organizational skills; provide excellent customer service; have a passion for working with college students; ability to effectively manage a large crowd; ability to work independently; ability to work with a diverse student population; and excellent computer and technology skills. Must reside in dorm.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE SECURITY OFFICER
High school graduate or equivalent required, Associates degree in Criminal Justice or relevant experience preferred.  Must possess current valid driver’s license; be able to successfully pass a criminal background check; be able to handle conflicts in a professional manner; have working knowledge of department radios, telephones, computer functions and abilities; be able to understand and carry out oral and written directives; be able to make sound decisions based upon the facts available; be able to be creative in handling situations out of the ordinary; be a team player; be detail oriented; have current valid MMPI Psychological Evaluation on file; and prefer one to two years of security and/or public safety experience. Must be able to work weekends and have flexible schedule during week.

FULL-TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD/EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR
Provide instruction in the area of post-secondary freshman/sophomore level early childhood and education courses on the Arkansas City campus.  A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required, Master’s degree preferred.  Three years of teaching or work experience with children is required.  Applicant should have good computer skills, have the ability to work with a diverse population and as a team member, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS FOR COMPUTER APPLICATION COURSES

CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS
Career &Technical Education adjunct instructors needed in the following program areas:  Machining; Welding; and related courses (Technical Mathematics; Blueprint Reading; Applied Economics; and Industrial Materials).  Must have a minimum of Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; online teaching experience preferred.

ADJUNCT SCIENCE INSTRUCTORS – BIOLOGY, MICROBIOLOGY & CHEMISTRY
Daytime and evening part-time teaching positions available.  Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours in the content area, and utilization of classroom technology.  A Master’s degree and teaching experience are preferred.

ADJUNCT NURSE AIDE INSTRUCTOR
According to state and federal standards, each course instructor must be a registered nurse with a current Kansas license and have a minimum of two years' licensed nursing experience. At least 1,750 hours must be as a licensed nurse in a setting which demonstrates long-term geriatric nursing care, such as an adult care home or a distinct-part long term care unit or a state institution for the mentally retarded. Additionally, all nurse aide instructors must have completed a course in teaching adults or a professional continuing education offering on supervision or adult education, or shall have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides. To document alternative long-term care setting: “Alternative Practice Setting Experience” form is available upon request.

ADJUNCT HOME HEALTH AIDE INSTRUCTOR
According to state and federal standards, each instructor of a home health aide course must be a registered nurse with a current Kansas license and have direct work experience in the provision of home health care. In order to qualify as an approved instructor, the state requires that the candidate be a registered nurse with a minimum of two years’ licensed nursing experience. At least 1,750 hours must be as a licensed nurse in home health care services. To document alternative home health care setting: “Alternative Practice Setting Experience” form is available upon request.

ADJUNCT MEDICATION AIDE INSTRUCTOR
Each instructor must be a registered nurse with a current Kansas license and have two years full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
