PART-TIME OFFICE ASSISTANT
Cowley College, Mulvane Center, is seeking a part-time, year-round Office Assistant. During school sessions, normal work hours are Monday through Thursday 5pm-10pm. Saturdays 8am-12pm.  This position is responsible for performing several administrative duties for the College and to provide support to students, staff and instructors.  This position is also responsible for the safety of the campus by locking the Mulvane center buildings in the evening.

PART-TIME WELLNESS CENTER CONCIERGE

Cowley College is seeking a part--time Wellness Center Concierge for our Wellness Center. The Wellness Center Concierge works in conjunction with the Wellness Manager to provide quality wellness, recreational and instructional activities within the Ben Cleveland Wellness Center. The focus of this position is to create a positive and energetic environment with high levels of customer service for all patrons of the Wellness Center.  In addition, this position will teach wellness classes. Required Education: High school diploma, or equivalent.  Required Experience: Customer service or related experience.  Experience in health and fitness programs. Work hours will vary.  Hours of operation: Monday through Friday (5am-10pm), Saturday (8am-4pm), Sunday (3pm-7pm).

BUS DRIVER
Cowley College is seeking a full-time bus driver.  This person will also maintain the MSDS online system, college inventory and assist with file storage.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  Must have basic computer skills, a valid CDL license with required endorsements (minimum B, passenger, air brakes), and exemplary driving record.  Must pass DOT physical.  Position will work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.  CPR certification, basic mechanical knowledge and a minimum of one year bus, or comparable vehicle driving experience, preferred.

TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Cowley College is seeking a full-time Technology Support Specialist to be responsible for the College’s desktop computer software/hardware, classroom A/V setups and wiring installations.  The Specialist will:

  • install, maintain and repair computer hardware,
  • install, update, catalog and support computer software,
  • Install and maintain the network and cabling infrastructure,
  • Install, maintain and repair audiovisual equipment,
  • Set-up, test, operate and troubleshoot audio and video equipment

Experience Requirement: Seeking a candidate with experience installing, configuring and supporting desktop computers, installing wiring, and working with classroom audiovisual equipment.
Education Requirement: An Associate’s Degree in Business Data Processing, Computer Science or related field, preferred.  A+ or similar certification, preferred.

Cowley College is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach Preparatory Algebra, College Algebra, Composition I and Preparatory English on the Arkansas City campus, at the Mulvane Center and online. 
Applicants should have the ability to communicate effectively with students and college personnel; provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives of the assigned courses; and create a meaningful learning environment. A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate level coursework in the content area, required. Master's Degree, preferred. A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferred.

ADJUNCT NURSE AIDE INSTRUCTOR

According to state and federal standards, each course instructor must be a registered nurse with a current Kansas license and have a minimum of two years' licensed nursing experience. At least 1,750 hours must be as a licensed nurse in a setting which demonstrates long-term geriatric nursing care, such as an adult care home or a distinct-part long term care unit or a state institution for the mentally retarded. Additionally, all nurse aide instructors must have completed a course in teaching adults or a professional continuing education offering on supervision or adult education, or shall have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides. To document alternative long-term care setting: “Alternative Practice Setting Experience” form is available upon request.

ADJUNCT HOME HEALTH AIDE INSTRUCTOR
