Steps to Enroll

Online l New l Current l Returning l Disabilities l International

Online Students

  1. Online Students
  2. Complete the Online Application or click here for an Admission Application pdf that you can
    complete and mail in. There is no fee required.
    Mail to:
    Cowley College
    Office of Admissions
    125 S. 2nd Street
    Arkansas City KS 67005
  3. Send high school GED and/or college transcripts (required), and ACT scores (if applicable, but not required) to the Registrar's Office. (If you mail in your Application Form, you can include your transcripts with the packet you mail to the Admissions office.)

  4. If you are unable to visit a Cowley College campus/center in person, special arrangements can be made if placement accessment testing is necessary. Contact us to make other arrangements. Email: eadvising@cowley.edu or call 316.683.6013.
  5. Students that take Cowley College courses at the Southside Center in Wichita KS and students that take ONLINE COURSES (who do not take one or more courses that meet at a Cowley College campus/center in Arkansas City, Winfield or Mulvane KS) can use the Online Advising and Enrollment services.
    Stop by the eLearning Center in WIchita, call 316.683.6013, email eadvising@cowley.edu, or complete the Online Enrollment Request form.

New Students

  1. Complete the Online Application or click here for an Admission Application pdf that you can
    complete and mail in. There is no fee required.
  2. Send high school GED and/or college transcripts (required), and ACT scores (if applicable, but not required).
  3. If you are a high school Junior or Senior student, you may take Cowley courses for dual or concurrent credit through our CAPSS program. You must have the approval of your high school principal and take our course placement test.
  4. Make an appointment at the main campus or an outreach center to take the course placement test.
  5. Review course placement test with an Advisor.
  6. Finalize class schedule.
  7. Pay Tuition and Fees not covered by Scholarship or Financial Aid.
  8. Purchase Textbooks at the Bookstore.
  9. Participate in New Student Orientation.
  10. View the Student Handbook.

Current Students

  1. If full-time student, make an appointment with your advisor.
  2. If part-time student taking classes on the main campus, contact admissions.
  3. If attending an outreach center, contact that center.

Returning Cowley Students

  1. If your last date of attendance was prior to 1991, you must complete a new Online Application.
  2. If your last date of attendance was later than 1991 contact your advisor. If you do not have an advisor, contact the Admissions Office or an outreach center.

Students with Disabilities

  1. If you require any accomodations for classes due to a learning or physical disability, it is important to request those services through the disability services program prior to assessment and enrollment steps.

International Students

  1. Contact the Admissions Office for an admissions packet to be mailed to you.
  2. Review the admissions process for International students.
