In general these are the courses that are required for the Machine Tool Certificate. In some cases prior experience can replace some of the courses.

  • Introduction to Conventional Milling Machines
  • Industrial Mathematics/Technical Math
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
  • Conventional Milling Machines/Setups
  • Conventional Lathe Turning/Setups
  • Industrial Materials
  • Advanced Milling Machines Operations
  • Advanced Lathe Operations
  • Computerized Numeric Control
  • Advanced Computer Aid. Manufacturing (CAM)
  • Advanced Milling Attachments/Intro-CNC
  • Advanced CNC Programming
  • Applied Economics

The total hours for the certificate would be 48 credit hours which comes out to be approx. 960 contact hours in all classes combined.
