Criminal Justice Programs

The Criminal Justice program at Cowley College prepares you for a successful career in law enforcement and corrections. There is a nationwide trend toward requiring that all criminal justice professionals have at least a two-year degree, and Cowley’s Associate Degree in Criminal Justice fulfills that promise.

This is an ideal time to become a professional in the field of criminal justice.

In response to the rise in crime rates, increasing drug abuse, and a growing population, the public demands a strong response to the violence and disorder, causing employment opportunities to increase dramatically in recent years.

Career opportunities exist in many areas: local police departments and organizations, county and state police departments, corrections, environmental protection services, juvenile facilities, crime laboratories, courts and judicial offices, and community-based corrections (probation and parole).
