English As A Second Language (ESL)

Cowley does offer limited instruction in English as a Second Language. However, we are not a certified ESL site yet, so we do not admit students just to study English.

You must meet certain proficiency levels for admission because you will be in academic classes. It has been our experience that while international students have studied English through ESL programs in their home country, they have not studied “American English”, which is different.
