The amounts below represent the minimum estimated expenses
for each student for one year at Cowley College. The budget does
not allow for luxuries and your sponsors should want to provide more
money, if possible.
Costs listed below are based on the 2008-09 academic year
and are subject to change by the Board of Trustees without notice.
Some technical programs may have additional fees or tool costs. Online courses and video hybrid courses
will be assessed a $55 distance learning fee per course. (These estimates
do not include special equipment required for some occupational programs
of study)

Cash Value of Room and Board
A student who is provided with free room and board by a relative or close
friend living near the school will not need money for housing. (Student
must submit an affidavit of free room and board.) Therefore, a student
who presents an affidavit of free room and board will need only $7,492
in cash support. Free room and board has a cash value of $4,200.
Family Expense Allocation
A student planning to bring a spouse or children in F-2 status, or who
currently has F-2 family with them in the United States must show an
additional $4,000 of income per year to support the spouse and an additional
$2,500 of income per year for each child.
Documentation verifying your sponsor's financial status
must be attached to the affidavit. Any of the following documents
are acceptable:
---A letter from the sponsor's employer stating the sponsor's annual
salary. The letter must be on company letterhead.
---A copy of the sponsor's income tax return.
---If the sponsor is self-employed, a bank or accountant can estimate
the annual income. The bank or accountant should submit a letter
to us on company letterhead. BANK STATEMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Payment
Payment of tuition and fees are required to be paid at the beginning of each semester.
This information is included in the printed schedule for that semester.
