Recent years have seen a dramatic growth in the college.
The addition of five major outreach centers in three counties have
more than doubled enrollment.
The Arkansas City campus remains the focal point
of the college. It is conveniently located in the heart of downtown
Arkansas City. The 19-building, 15-acre campus is a beautifully landscaped
blend of modern and traditional facilities. Most student services,
including admissions, registration, billing, and financial aid, are
conveniently located in Galle-Johnson Hall, 125 S. Second Street. The
campus has seen the addition of several new buildings and remodeling
of others. Since 2000, the college has added the Sid Regnier Bookstore,
McAtee Dining Hall, and the Webb- Brown classroom building. The home
of Cowley basketball and volleyball, Scott Auditorium, received a major
renovation and addition of the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame. The Kerr
building became home to the art, graphic design, and journalism program
following its remodel. The Nelson Student Center, fondly known as The
Jungle, is now home to the Tiger Deli, Internet Café, and Game
Room. The Student Success Center is housed in the Courtright Station
of The Underground.
The Wichita Southside Center is the largest of the
centers. Other centers include Mulvane, Bloomenshine, Wichita Aviation
Tech, Winfield Allied Health, Mulvane Industrial Tech, and Wellington.
More than a dozen smaller sites are linked to the
main campus through the Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) television
system.
